A Day in the Life:At Hertz, customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do. To help us build functional systems that improve customer experience we are now looking for an experienced DevSecOps Engineer. They will be responsible for defining, building and maintaining automation and systems for security requirements/capabilities.What You'll Do:Build CI/CD Pipeline capabilitiesBuild/maintain Kubernetes environmentsBuild/support Helm packaging templatesIntegrating security measures into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure secure coding practices and the early detection of vulnerabilities.Automating security processes to reduce manual oversight and to streamline security within the development lifecycle.Conducting regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential threats and to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Collaborating with development and operations teams to create and maintain a secure infrastructure for software deployment.Follow an Agile methodology using Jira and ConfluenceKeeping abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls, and incorporating new security technologies into the organization's practices.Facilitating communication between security, development, and operations teams to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to security.Research problems and break them into deliverable partsWork with a Lean mindset and deliver value quicklyWork in a pair programming environmentImplement the best industry standard practicesAutomate the tasks as neededDeveloping cloud first, large-scale, public web facing software utilizing the appropriate technology for the task at hand.Work with senior management to intake new projectsWhat we're Looking For:5+ years in software engineering; or a bachelor's in Computer Science or another related fieldExperience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering roleExperience with cyber security tools such as Wiz, Qualys, Snyk.Experience with network security in the cloud.Experience with cloud technology such as AWS, Azure, and OCIExperience with git and git workflowsExperience in CI/CD principles and Pipeline development (preferably in Jenkins)Experience deploying to cloud environmentsExperience with Kubernetes, both deployment and management (desired)Experience with dashboard tools, such as Grafana and PowerBIStrong communication skillsWorking knowledge of Lean and Agile methodologiesWhat You'll Get:Up to 40% off any standard Hertz RentalPaid Time OffMedical, Dental & Vision plan optionsRetirement programs, including 401(k) employer matchingPaid Parental Leave & Adoption AssistanceEmployee Assistance Program for employees & familyEducational Reimbursement & DiscountsVoluntary Insurance Programs - Pet, Legal/Identity Theft, Critical IllnessPerks & Discounts –Theme Park Tickets, Gym Discounts & more
