PURPOSE:The Windows Engineer II, Information Technology, is responsible for the overall technical implementation of Information Technology solutions that address customer needs. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Windows server environments, Active Directory, and related technologies, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. They work closely with Project Managers to deliver solutions on time and on budget in accordance with customer expectations. This position will work on the day-to-day implementation of various services for assigned projects. The Windows Engineer II, Information Technology must understand the business issues driving company services and be able to convert those into technical requirements and implement the solutions accordingly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Deploy and configure Windows servers and applications.Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels.Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and domain services.Implement and maintain AD synchronization and replication.Collaborate with IT staff and other departments to ensure that all systems are working effectively and efficiently.Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as updates and patches, to keep systems up to date.Keep accurate records of system activity, inventory, and equipment.Stay current with new technologies and industry trends and make recommendations for system improvements.Provide technical support and assistance to end-users as needed.Administer day-to-day operations of the IT Engineering department.Evaluate hardware and software, participate in projects, and maintain knowledge of current technologies.Participate in an on-call rotation cycle for after-hours support to maintain the Computer Systems.Maintain high customer service, pay attention to detail, work under pressure, and prioritize technical versus non-technical issues.Maintain stated SLA and system availability goals.Develop and sustain an understanding of industry best practices related to systems management.Assist with developing, monitoring, and refining the workflow and business processes to meet the goals of IT Operations.Provide sound resource management for project deliveries.Work with increased autonomy to complete projects on time.Understand and work within the constructs of project processes, scope, and schedules.Manage customer expectations and deliver to a high level of customer satisfaction.Work within the customer environment to deliver technical solutions specific to requirements.Establish Disaster Recovery environment architecture and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:This position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant technical field or industry certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, RHEL, etc. preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS:5 years of information technology experience required.4 years of experience supporting production environments required.

PREFERRED SKILLS:Knowledge of Data Centre operations.AWS Foundational skills and best practices.In-depth understanding of application architectures and business processes.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, MS365 administration) and hybrid environments.Proficiency with Windows Server (2016, 2019) and related technologies.Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in state of residence and demonstrate safe and responsible operation of motor vehicles.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
