Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Staff Cyber Systems Engineer – Cyber Engineer SME (24-313) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations. This position ensures the developed system realizes the architecture, requirements, and technical baseline.
Essential Functions:
Apply security policies to applications that interface with one another.
Assess the effectiveness of information protection measures utilized by system(s).
Assess threats to and vulnerabilities of the computer system(s) to develop a security risk profile.
Build, test, and modify product prototypes using working or theoretical models.
Assess the application's security design for appropriate security controls.
Integrate information assurance (IA) or IA-enabled products.
Design and develop secure interface specifications between interconnected systems.
Develop architectures or system components consistent with technical specifications.
Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan the development of a new application or modification of an existing application.
Basic Qualifications:
An active TS/SCI clearance is required to start.
12 years experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 10 years with a master's degree in a related field, or 16 years experience in lieu of a degree.
Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at
IASAE – Level II
or higher.
Strong Cybersecurity background to include knowledge of Identity and Access Management methodologies, encryption algorithms, and enterprise information security architecture.
Experience in cybersecurity requirements evaluation and validation.
Knowledge of cybersecurity systems engineering principles.
Familiarity with network protocols and directory services.
Knowledge of Cyber technologies and how they impact a mission system.
Experience in Cyber threat assessment and risk management of a mission system.

$165,000 - $247,400
