Developer II - DevOps/Release Engineer (Hybrid)

Overview
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office (Raleigh, NC, Morristown, NJ, Phoenix, AZ, Austin, TX). The IT Operations Group is looking for a DevOps engineer with exposure to application/BAU support.This position is responsible for providing advanced technical support to data processing systems. Analyzes existing and proposed data processing systems or procedures that improve processing capabilities. Assists the installation of programs and procedures developed in coordination with end user groups. Enhances data processing systems and procedures through system analysis, coding, testing, and other activities that facilitate technical business objectives. May occasionally guide less experienced analysts in the work group.
Responsibilities
Understand technical requirements and functions for several applications to establish deployment, support, and maintenance strategy.Perform analysis of multiple applications to build DevOps roadmap and assist prioritization.Work closely with Technology leads, Project Manager, and business analysts to understand and solve requirements related to Operational process.Configure and set up build and deployment pipelines using Azure.Implement the monitoring and alert mechanism using platforms such as Dynatrace, Solarwinds.Analyze application issues to determine manual efforts and help automate the process.Look for opportunities to improve the process by automation or resolving actual issues to improve overall operations.Implement best practices in the operations across multiple applications.Provide regular updates on progress report.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Application software programming OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Application software programming.Preferred Area of Study:
Computer SciencePreferred skills and experience:Experience in DevOps and performing BAU and Application Support.Knowledge of scripting languages Python, PowerShell, JavaScript.Experienced in Azure DevOps, Git, TFS, Jira, Release Management.Experienced in Dynatrace, SolarWinds, or other job monitoring tools.Experienced in IT service management processes and tools such as ServiceNow.Deployment Pipeline setup.Understanding of Jfrog and Nuget Package management.Understands SDLC and Automation.Knowledge of reporting tools such as Tableau.Additional skills:Excellent collaboration and communication skills.Ability to resolve conflicts efficiently.Multi-tasker with good organizational skills.Critical thinker.Banking domain experience is a plus.First Citizens benefits programs are designed to meet our associates where they are in life.
