LOCATION : San Antonio, TX.
Position Description:
Excentium Inc. is seeking an Information Assurance Specialist to join our team. The Information Assurance Specialist carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems, products, and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements. Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for Federal Assessments & Authorizations (A&A); provides sound advice and recommendations to lower risk and improve the overall defensive posture. Works to resolve all complex problems. Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Performs complex workflow analysis and recommends quality improvements.
Functional Responsibility:
Provides the analysis or application of system security practices within an organization/agency.
Assists the system owner and Information System Security Officer (ISSO) in various aspects in developing and writing certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation packages included in the process of helping an organization/agency obtain an Authority to Operate (ATO) on its systems and/or environment.
Follows National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and/or Department of Defense IA Certification and Accreditation Process standards in performance of job functions.
Familiar with commonly used tools, concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Educational Requirements/Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in similar roles.
Bachelor’s degree and/or Equivalent work experience.
One of the following IAT/IAM Level III Certifications:
CASP+ CE
CCNP Security
CISA
CISSP (or Associate)
GCED
GCIH
CCSP
And one of the following CE certifications:
CompTIA A+ CE Certification
CompTIA Security+ CE Certification
CompTIA Network+ CE Certification
