Linux System Engineer

to join our team in

Laurel, Maryland.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Overseeing the development and deployment of Linux software and hardware systems.Configuring systems to meet the organization operational needs.Creating and maintaining detailed system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and change management logs.Working with team members to build applications for customers.Providing support and troubleshooting services for customers.Writing scripts to automate tasks.Creating accounts.Working late during patching days and covering a 6am-6pm shift.Minimum Qualifications:Required - TS/SCI with full scope polygraph.Shall have a minimum of twenty (20) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical discipline is required. (Possibly Waived)Experience with LINUX scripting, installing software and hardware.Preferred Qualifications:Ability to analyze user requirements and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements.Support the planning and test analysis of the DoD Certification/Accreditation Process.Provide technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of hardware/software systems.Configure and manage LINUX operating systems and install/load operating systems software, troubleshoot maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with working all SNOW tickets assigned.Clearance Requirements:Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Full Scope Polygraph.Must be a US Citizen.Physical Requirements:The candidate must be able to move, carry and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer’s desk. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
