Project Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to lead all engineering and technical aspects of our projects. This crucial role involves scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing all technical activities to guarantee project precision and quality from start to finish. The ideal candidate will propose and implement new equipment solutions, perform detailed machine drawings, and oversee the installation of capital equipment while coordinating with stakeholders to ensure ongoing project success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the engineering and technical disciplines needed to plan and deliver projects.
Develop project schedules, plans, forecasts, and resource allocations to ensure project completion to specifications.
Provide technical advice, problem-solving assistance, and answer to technical questions from the project team and stakeholders.
Install new equipment and perform equipment updates and optimizations as necessary.
Create detailed drawings and layouts and utilize CAD software to assist in project visualization and planning.
Coordinate with stakeholders to align project goals, timelines, and implementations.
Apply rigorous project management methodologies and tools such as LEAN and Six Sigma to optimize project outcomes.
Be responsible for the successful on-going operation of installed projects.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Engineering or related scientific field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering or project management, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability in machine implementation and practical engineering applications.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Capability to work autonomously with confidence and make informed and effective decisions.
Experience in field management alongside expertise in cash flow analysis.
Significant experience in the food packaging or food manufacturing industries.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with plastic extrusion or blown film manufacturing.
Industrial maintenance experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP).
Skills:
Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing equipment such as gearboxes, belts, and PLCs.
Proficiency in CAD for creating and analyzing drawings and layouts.
Familiarity with regulations such as NFPA, OSHA, and EPA.
Strong analytical skills to conduct time studies and use of KAIZEN methodologies.
Excellent communication skills with abilities to lead meetings and work collaboratively within a team.
Efficient in using project management tools including FMEA, project charters, and SWOT analysis.
