Overview
As a member of the dynamic and growing Pediatrics Research Office (PRO) and the Child Health Research Institute administrative team, this position will provide pre-award sponsored funding support to faculty and post-docs in the Department of Pediatrics and, if needed, investigators working with pediatric populations in the Children's Hospital of Richmond. This position will meet and work directly with faculty to identify funding opportunities and submit competitive proposals to primarily federal, state, and foundation sponsors. This position will collaborate with VCU's School of Medicine, Office of Sponsored Programs, and the university broadly.Core Responsibilities
Assist in the development of individualized timelines of grant submission plans;Perform proactive outreach to ensure adherence with grant submission plans;Assist Associate Director with department-level financial strategy based on funding fluctuations and potential awards;Have a thorough understanding of sponsor guidelines to successfully develop and submit competitive proposals;Maintain and report on submission and award metrics.Hybrid is preferred, with remote only based on a successful track record of independent work performance.
