Create future flyknit concepts by exploring the opportunities of new knit technologies. Communicate and build confidence in the strategy and innovation knit direction with functional partners. Collaborate with design, footwear development, engineering, knit design, and advanced manufacturing partners to create exceptional concept prototypes. Identify and create new manufacturing methods and processes with internal and external partners that advance the future of flyknit. Assist with projects or programs with higher level of risk and or complexity. Deliver on commitments and readily accept personal responsibility for projects and tasks. Identify opportunities and take calculated risks. Support projects or programs with significant complexity to achieve milestones and objectives. Possess critical thinking, problem solving, long term vision, and global manufacturing perspective. Create original knit product designs that deliver the highest performance standards while driving distinction through never seen before aesthetics. Execute all knit product details including: construction detail, color, form, style, detail, fit, performance, aesthetics, and integration into greater footwear design. Partner on multiple interdisciplinary projects and reach across to other functions to ensure concept connectivity. Create future flyknit concepts by exploring the opportunities of new knitting and footwear technologies, machine alteration and creation of performance footwear uppers. Collaborate with design, footwear product development, mechanical engineering, and advanced manufacturing within Nike innovation and inline partners, building confidence in the product strategy, innovation knit direction and upper. Lead with expert knowledge to create groundbreaking performance footwear upper concepts and prototypes. Collaborate on multiple interdisciplinary projects and reach across to other functions to ensure concept connectivity. Work on advanced footwear programs with a higher level or risk and complexity, by identifying new opportunities and taking calculated risks to push the boundaries of knitting technologies while ensuring to deliver on commitments and readily accept personal responsibility for projects and task. Develop experimentation studies of new knitting techniques. Conduct knitting trials, recording key upper measurement points. Analyze and transfer design drawings from cad systems to knit machine programming software. Program and operate knitting equipment to deliver prototype knitted uppers. Conduct fit and function product samples for testing and provide detailed reporting on recommendations for future iterations. Analyze material testing data and make necessary knit structure and patterning changes to ensure product meets testing requirements. Provide footwear project teams with detailed reports, to include machine experiments and knitted footwear testing results. Create and deliver new performance footwear solutions for athlete testing.Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.Minimum Requirements

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Technical Textiles, Knitting Technology, Textile Machinery, Knit Fabric Design and Development, Knitwear Textile Manufacturing and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.ORNo Degree and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
