Our client, a retail chain of home improvement and agriculture stores, is seeking a Senior IT DevOps Engineer for a 6+ month contract position in Brentwood, TN. This role is hybrid.
Overall Job SummaryThis position is responsible for implementing CICD technical initiatives and delivers cutting edge solutions. This role will be critical in improving the ability to manage cloud infrastructures as well as deploy application code faster, manage it more effectively through automations and have a great understanding of our systems. Key responsibilities include developing and supporting continuous integration, deployment and delivery of WebSphere Commerce and Sterling Commerce applications & its support tools and components to multiple environments.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesImplement innovative DevOps solutions and solve technical problems and improve operational efficiencies through automations.Partner with the Dev Ops Engineers & development teams to develop, maintain, and streamline automated build and release pipeline from code compilation, automated testing to deploy releases to multiple environments.Assist in the managing and maintaining of all environments, ensuring that these environments are properly setup, configured, and highly available for each project as scheduled.Lead developers, engineers, tester and security teams to define and implement best in class CICD process.Maintain source control branch strategies, build/release, branch merge process and documentations.Lead initiatives to improve the build and deployment process, reporting and reduce deployment time & increase release cycle per month.Coordinate release activities with other teams (internal and external), partnering with the Change Management group to ensure a smooth and trouble-free roll out of releases.Share a 24x7 on call production support rotation with your team and respond to service incidents.Qualifications
Experience: 5 plus years of experience in DevOps, build engineering, release management, automated software development practices, or software development. Experience as a Build and Release Engineer for an organization with large and complex information systems.Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer systems design or computer science from an accredited college or university. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.Professional Certifications:
High Demand IT Specialized skills: Cloud PaaS/IaaS environments (Azure, GCP).Platform knowledge (UNIX, Linux, Windows):Other knowledge, skills or abilities:Strong hands on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, Terraform programming and scripting languages.Strong experience with IBM/HCL Websphere Commerce, IBM Sterling Commerce, SOLR and related build and deployment processes.Efficient in IBM Http Server, IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM MQ & Deployment manager ND/Liberty software.Strong ability to work independently, work in a fast-paced environment and manage workload prioritization to deliver high quality work products on time with minimal direction.Pay Rate- $82.76-$85.71Corps Team is an equal opportunity employer.
