For this role, there is minimal travel (2-3 times a year); expect to get your chance to periodically visit the beautiful mountains of the Vail Valley to kick off major initiatives and meet folks in person. This job is remote, but must be based in one of the states we are able to support employees: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, HI, MI, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, SC, TX, UT.

About the Role:
The
Senior Data Analyst
will play an integral part in positioning East West Hospitality for continued success in the future. As an individual contributor, you will play a critical role in the development, improvement, and maintenance of data-driven decision-making through advanced data analysis and visualization tools, primarily using Snowflake SQL, modern BI tools, dbt, and GitHub. You will help shape company-wide analytics and lead efforts to create data-driven insights and support decision-making across the organization, working closely with stakeholders from multiple departments. You’ll help support the evolution of a robust and scalable analytics platform.
The ideal candidate will be able to thrive in ambiguity, own and execute multiple concurrent deliverables (both hands-on as an individual contributor and by mentoring and guiding the team) while working effectively with executive leaders and stakeholders across the company. You’ll ensure all stakeholder analytics needs are met in a repeatable and scalable way, while planning, delivering, and evolving our data management and reporting environment to meet the needs of our rapidly growing business and driving actionable insights that make a real impact on our business. This is both a technical and informal technical leadership role: expect to be involved at all levels of projects.
Key objectives:
Conduct in-depth analysis and provide actionable insights such as interactive dashboards and visualizations to address stakeholder requirements.
Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with our stakeholders, understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service.
Mentor and support other team members in developing their analytical skills and understanding of data tools.
Collaborate with team members to integrate data sources, ensuring data integrity and consistency across the organization.
Undertake specific initiatives to improve company data integrity.
Develop, maintain, and optimize data models using SQL and dbt.

Salary Range:
$85,000 - $115,000 depending on work location and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
Legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
4 years of post-undergraduate analytics experience (includes time towards advanced degrees), including a minimum of 2 years in a professional analytics capacity.
Advanced/Expert SQL skills, including complex queries, data manipulation, and optimization techniques.
Hands-on experience with reporting tools (such as Snowflake, Mode, Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, GitHub, dbt).
A strong sense of personal humility.
Flexibility, curiosity, adaptability - we are a growing and changing data environment.
Ability to be effective in an organization where staff work in a combo of remote, hybrid, and onsite locations.
Strong project management, organizational skills and ability to engage stakeholders and meet deadlines for multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
High level of written and oral communication skills.
Ideal but not required:
Experience with cloud warehouses, familiarity with Microsoft data stack (SSIS/SSMS/SSAS) and semantic languages like DAX, and other analytics languages such as Python.
Data Engineering & DevSecOps experience (terraform, ansible, AWS).
Master’s or advanced degree in a quantitative field.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. computer science or natural sciences).
Experience creating predictive models of success based on past business performance.
