As a DevOps Engineer you will have key responsibilities in defining, planning, implementing, and operating FDSOne Jira platform and processes that meet or exceed the service level and supports R&D teams to effectively and efficiently organize projects, define, assign and prioritize tasks.In this role, the successful person will be managing and optimizing the FDSOne Jira software, Jira service management and confluence instances. In charge of configuring workflows, managing user permissions, and maintaining overall system efficiency. Responsible for handle integrations with other tools, ensuring that Jira supports the specific needs of the organization. Configure and customize Jira projects, workflows, permissions, and notifications to align with business processes. Develop and maintain automation scripts using scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python) to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Acts as a bridge between the technical and non-technical realms. Will participate in, and sometimes lead, proof of concept and first of a kind activities to validate product concepts.Responsible for surpassing customer expectations to achieve high quality, innovative solutions that are delivered on-time. Has diversified knowledge of methods and practices in broad areas of infrastructure development and operations. Recognized by peers as a strong collaborator. Must excel in a team environment that changes with new technology adoption and evolving customer requirements. Works with some supervision on the most complex projects and desires to obtain complete latitude for independent judgment. Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.ResponsibilitiesAdminister and manage Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence instances.Configure and customize Jira projects, workflows, permissions, and notifications to align with business processes.Implement and manage Jira schemes, including issue types, screens, fields, and custom fields.Perform regular audits of Jira configurations to ensure optimal performance and compliance with organizational standards.Integrate Jira with other tools and systems, such as CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and other Atlassian products.Develop and maintain automation scripts using scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python) to streamline processes and improve efficiency.Implement and manage webhooks, REST APIs, and other integration points to enhance Jira’s functionality.Provide user support and training on Jira and Confluence best practices, including creating and maintaining user guides and documentation.Conduct training sessions and workshops to onboard new users and enhance the skills of existing users.Troubleshoot and resolve user issues, providing timely and effective solutions.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to ensure high availability and reliability.Perform regular backups, updates, and maintenance tasks to keep Jira and Confluence instances up-to-date and secure.Manage user access and permissions, ensuring compliance with security policies.Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate Jira with CI/CD pipelines and other DevOps tools.Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process.Monitor and optimize the performance of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable deployments.Work with development and operations teams to implement best practices for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code.Participate in incident management and root cause analysis to improve system reliability and performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency.Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of Jira with other tools and processes.Stay updated with the latest Jira features, plugins, and best practices, and proactively recommend improvements.Using Infrastructure As Code (IAC) best practices, create automated infrastructure within the cloud and on-premise platform, including package management, application load and configuration, and systems monitoring and administration.Contribute to Operations strategy planning, design, implementation, and maintenance activities.Be part of maintaining a 24x7, global, highly available SaaS environment according to internal and external service levels agreements.Ensure the production environment is operating in accordance with established procedures and best practices.Education, and Experience:· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.Enterprise level knowledge of Atlassian Cloud Suite and features.Qualification and Skills:3-5 Years of experience in the migration, administration, configuration, development, and support of Atlassian cloud products in a large-scale enterprise environment, which may include some or all the following:JIRA Software, add-ons, associated plug-ins, and extensions.Jira Service Management.Confluence.Compass.Atlas.Jira Align.Jira Product Discovery.Jira Automation.Experience with Rest APIs and integrations with Atlassian Cloud Products.Experience with Python, as well as advanced JQL Experience a plus.Experience in working with business stakeholders for user requirement collection, problem statement identification, and functional design and fit/gap analysis.Experience in software product development, implementation, and change management processes.Experience in the Agile Methodology and mindset.Knowledge in ITSM processes supporting Incident, Request, Problem and Change Management.Must be highly motivated and able to work on multiple initiatives at the same time.Networking concepts, including firewalls, VPN, routing, load balancers, security and DNS.2+ years experience with containerization, specifically Kubernetes.2+ years experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services.4+ years experience with automation via scripting & API development.3+ years experience with software development in the cloud.Solid analytic and critical thinking skills.Enthusiasm to learn new technologies.Excellent problem analysis and problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers, partners, and customers.Ability to develop and present technical concepts to a business audience.Competencies: Problem Solving, Collaboration Skills, Communication Proficiency.Excellent organizational skills and time management.Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:Experience with Atlassian Marketplace apps and plugins.Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.Certification in Jira Transform the EverydayThe salary range for this position is $105,100.00, to $189,200.00 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
