We bring the world together with our fries.Job Description SummaryThe Sr. IT DevOps Engineer is responsible for identifying and building automation to streamline operations for teams at Lamb Weston. This role will also involve educating teams on the benefits of DevOps practices and helping to start a movement at the company. The role will be well versed in several scripting languages, aware and familiar with AWS and Azure cloud services as well as versed in newer generation software development patterns to apply knowledge to LW operations.Position ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain automation of CI/CD pipelines, VM creation, docker builds, Cloudwatch telemetry and dashboards, self services infrastructure standup, database build pipelines, etc.Educate other team members on automation principles, teach them to build and maintain their own automation systems.Partner with other groups inside and outside IT to build and educate and demonstrate advantages of an automation first approach.Report on defects or quality issues.Assist in building metrics for software quality.Help develop standard templates and automation frameworks.Provide training on automation, pipelines and framework as needed.Partner to research and implement of new automation methods and tools to maximize operational efficiency and continuously improve product quality.Work with other engineering teams and contracted engineers to build and guide automation.Work directly with architects and other technical team members to devise and build appropriate automation for the solutions that are being built.Position QualificationsBS in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field5+ years of experience in delivering and supporting DevOps initiativesStrong experience with Python, Javascript and PowershellExperience with AWS cloud services including Lambda, AKS, Api GatewayExperience with building self help dashboards to trigger underlying automationExperience with Terraform and automating the provisioning of cloud hardware / services.Experience with Docker containers.Superior analytical and modeling skills including demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting complex models from numerous sources, synthesizing reports and viewpoints, and dealing with challenges creatively.Direct experience in successful DevOps Automation teams is preferredExceptional organizational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritize competing demands and achieve results with a customer focused approach.Ability for up to 25% travel.Industry-Competitive BenefitsBenefitsCoupled with our compensation and bonus incentive programs, our benefits deliver rewards that are market competitive.
