a Sr. Principal Software Engineer
based out of our
Fairfax, VA
or
Linthicum, MD
locations.
What You’ll get to Do:
We are looking for a Software Engineer experienced in Java (as your primary and most skilled in Object-Orientated programming language) who wants to work on an agile development team using modern development practices tackling both new development and operational support of systems that advance National Security.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's +8 years of experience; Master's +6 years of experience; PhD +3 years of experience or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Current Top Secret/SCI security clearance required at time of application.
Able to work with a legacy code base to gain understanding of functionality and then be able to make modification to suit the needs of our mission.
Experience developing on teams using Agile methodology, process, and tools.
Experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting in Java.
Experience using object-oriented design.
Experience using version control software.
Candidate must be able to obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly).
Experience with effectively managing, communicating, and presenting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly) completed within the last 5 years.
Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
Experience with AWS Services.
Experience with software system integration, testing, and deployment, including but not limited to automation.
Salary Range:
$127,000 - $199,600The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
