Provide support for customers in a courteous and efficient mannerAbility to work independently on projects with minimal supervisionInstall, configure, and maintain IBM Power I system.Monitor system performance and ensure optimal system functionality.Perform system upgrades and patches to maintain security and performance.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.Implement and manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and data protection strategies.Collaborate with IT teams to integrate IBM systems with other infrastructure and applications.Develop and maintain system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and policies.Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff.Redirect problems to correct IT resources as needed, inform IT management of recurring problemsResolve user access issues, escalate where appropriateEnter detailed information for each issue into issue tracking work order system (Track It)Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Stay up-to-date with the latest IBM technologies and best practices.Work Experience Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to establish and maintain positive relationships with IT and non-IT personnel at all levels of the businessAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProvides coaching to operatorsSkilled problem solver5+ years’ experience implementing or supporting IBM Power i SystemAble to participate in on-call rotation to provide assistance during after-hours to support business and operations. Available to support less experienced operations staff after-hours.Working knowledge of basic IBM Power i System operation and administrative functionsExperience supporting a tier 1 ERP system (Oracle, SAP or JD Edwards (preferred))Must adhere to established SOX policies and standards including security and change managementAble to use Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Project, Visio)Working knowledge of the following 3rd-party applications and tools:Help Systems PowerTechHelp Systems SEQUEL ViewPointHelp Systems ROBOT – Alert & ScheduleAllout Security SOXLOCKApplied Logic FEU ProICS FormSprintInput Technologies NetmailSoftmenuTL Ashford Barcode 400Unicom Software TurnoverMIMIXEducation Requirements
