The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various technical and customer support duties to ensure the efficient and productive operations of PC, network, telecommunications, and end user’s equipment.Some Responsibilities include but not limited to:Install, configure, repair, upgrade, and troubleshoot all PC’s, servers, printers, network equipment, telecommunications equipment, software, and databases used by the company.Provides technical support solving hardware and software problems, to all computer users, either in person or remotely, with a sense of urgency.Administer hosted VoIP solution and perform adds, moves, and changes as necessary.Work with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot and correct equipment or software problems.Installation and administration of next-generation antivirus solutions including monitoring for alerts and responding to threats.Administer and monitor spam filter for email as well as dkim, dmarc, and spf records.Configuration and administration of application, file, and network servers, including domain controllers, e-mail systems, and security tools.Provides recommendations on desktop, laptop, and server configurations.Lead server patching determined by the IT Department for both Windows and Linux physical and virtual servers by researching updates and applying critical Microsoft updates as well as Red Hat patches.Administer and maintain web conferencing solution including initial setup, licensing, as well as user training.Administer remote management tools including desktop management, documentation, monitoring, and service desk software.Organizes and prioritizes own workload and anticipates company needs.Requires being “on call” for any after hour problems and or scheduled maintenance that may occur.Travels to remote facilities as necessary.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree or associate degree and two years related experience OR four years related experience. Microsoft/Linux/Cisco certifications preferred but not required.OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:Understanding and knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications required. Ability to apply common sense understanding to complex situations required. Experience in software installation and upgrades, as well as LAN installation and maintenance required. Knowledge of current Windows operating systems and Microsoft/Linux Server Operating systems required.
