Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Hardware EngineeringGeneral Summary:The QCT Product & Test group has an opening for a test board design position (bench and ATE boards). This group develops test solutions for high-volume and high volume production testing of Mobile Station Modems (MSM), baseband mixed-signal devices, RF receivers/transmitters/transceivers, audio devices, and power management ASICs designed by QCT. Job responsibilities include hardware device development of bench/ATE hardware; schematic capture, oversee layout, and release test hardware into volume production.Responsibilities:The employee will implement automated, mixed signal RF/PMIC PCB designs. Experience in DxDesigner, Mentor PADS Logic/Layout and mixed signal RF PCB designs is desirable.They will perform the required simulations (Power Integrity, Signal Integrity, ADS..etc) and conduct product design reviews to meet strict product development schedules.They will work with Test Engineers, Product Engineers and Designers to collect the design requirements for the test boards and create schematics for these based on understanding of the ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) and bench board instrumentation.Minimum Qualifications:Understanding and ability to apply electrical engineering concepts and circuit solving skills.Able to work with common test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, etc.), Knowledge in RF, mixed-signal, or analog PCB design including CAD (printed circuit board) design in high layer count multilayer boards and sockets/connectors and Component selection preferred.Specific experience in designing boards for ATE testers a plus. Good understanding of common signal integrity and power integrity issues on hardware and ability to identify/provide solutions using simulation tools (e.g., PowerSI, SIwave, HSSDAS, etc.) is also a plus.It is important the candidate has the ability to communicate technical understandings and project status clearly. Also important is the ability to organize effectively and document work thoroughly and follow required procedures and methodologies.Ability to contribute seamlessly as a member of the board design team.Educational Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.OR PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.Applicants:
