Position Overview
The
Identity and Access Manager
plays a crucial role in ensuring secure access to systems, applications, and data within an organization. Your main responsibility is to oversee and manage the organization's user access management team. This involves developing and executing strategies and policies, user authentication and authorization, and access control, as well as ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements. Our identity management services cover a wide range of identity profiles including employees, contractors, suppliers, customers, and joint ventures; with each having unique identity challenges and needs. Additionally, our privileged management services offer its own unique challenges to ensure our systems are secured and protected.
Responsibilities
Responsible for creating and implementing an IAM program that includes policies, procedures, and guidelines for managing user identities and access.Design and enforce access controls, ensuring authorized users have appropriate access while minimizing risks.Provide awareness and education of IAM and UAM across the organization, including overall design and recommendations for IAM projects.Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure that the program meets the needs of the business.Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define and implement access policies and procedures, as well as support the organization's identity and access governance program.Oversee the provisioning and de-provisioning of digital identities (user accounts, service accounts, bots, etc.), access rights, and permissions across various IT systems.Administer digital identities, permissions, and access controls, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.Support the management of the third-party IAM support team and vendor relationship.Ensure access management processes follow security and regulatory requirements, such as NIST, ISO, GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.Train users on IAM policies, procedures, and best practices.Focus on upskilling their direct reports, ensuring they stay informed about evolving threats, technologies, and solutions.Collaborate with other departments to ensure secure access across the organization.Document IAM processes and procedures for knowledge retention.Collaborate with the GRC leads to conduct user access recertification as defined by company policies.Create and distribute reports to demonstrate program effectiveness.Respond to audit findings and implement remediation measures.Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions to enhance security.Escalate and resolve IAM-related issues promptly to maintain operational efficiency.Provide technical support and guidance to other IT teams regarding identity and access management issues.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degreeAt least 6 years of information technology security experience1 year lead experienceORMaster’s degreeAt least 4 years of information technology security experience1 year lead experienceORAt least 8 years of information technology security experience1 year lead experience
Additional Requirements
Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
A degree in computer science, or related field.Experience in identity management capabilities.Experience in a leadership or managerial role, including leading and developing technical resources.Proven track record of successfully managing IAM or UAM program.Experience in managing segmented identity management environments for specific use cases.Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.In-depth knowledge of security technologies, standards, and best practices.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging environment.Professional security certifications such as CIAM, CIMP, CISSP, or CISM preferred.
