IT Advisor – Technical Systems – Industrial Control Systems (ICS)
group based in
Houston, TX.Key Responsibilities:Provide primary support for Nexus, Field Mobility and OSI PI (AVEVA) application modules.Assist PI users and troubleshoot/coordinate issue resolution.Develop and support increasing levels of integration, data flow and data analytics for PI. Apply good data security practices across applications and domains.Testing and evaluation of new IT ICS technologies. Installation, administration and advanced troubleshooting of in the protected and the business network.Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation – assist users and troubleshoot/coordinate basic issue resolution for other major ICS applications reported through on-call.Actively participate in PI related ICS projects – including planning, managing, designing, and implementing.Coordinate projects with other stakeholders – various IT teams, business users, vendors etc.Collaborate with other OXY ICS resources.Develop documentation, Knowledge Articles, Standards, Best Practices, and Procedures as applicable.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degree with relevant experience.5 or more years of experience in AVEVA PI (Data Archives, Asset Framework, Analytics, Connectors, Interfaces, PI Vision etc.).Understanding of various automation applications and ICS technologies - SCADA Systems (OPC, ICONICS, Cygnet, Wonderware etc.).Knowledge about RDBMS. SQL experience.Solid IT – Automation applications knowledge, including installation, maintenance and operation on physical or virtual servers.Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.Ability to effectively communicate and establish positive relationships with customers and team members.Strong work ethic and quick learner.
