Senior AI/ML Engineer
within our
Advanced Analytics Enablement
group based in
Houston, Texas.
You will be responsible for designing and developing machine learning and deep learning systems, implementing appropriate ML algorithms, conducting experiments and visualizing results that will be easily understood by customers. You will also collaborate with other engineers and data scientists to integrate your solutions into existing products and services. Stay up to date on latest trends and technologies in ML and AI. Additional responsibilities include running projects, coordinating with third party vendors and internal customers.To be successful in this role, you should have:Extensive experience in Oil and Gas.A strong background in computer science, mathematics, and statistics.Experience in working with various machine learning frameworks and tools.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.A passion for artificial intelligence and its applications.Required Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.Advanced math and statistics skills in subjects such as linear algebra, calculus, and Bayesian statistics.Proven experience as an AI/ML Engineer or a similar role.Expert in Python, R, and other programming languages.Knowledge of data science, statistics, and machine learning concepts and frameworks.Experience with machine learning libraries and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.Experience with data processing and analysis tools such as Pandas, NumPy, etc.Experience with cloud platforms and services in AWS and Azure.Experience working across multiple departments and disciplines.Experience with version control and collaboration tools such as Git, GitHub, etc.Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.Experience in Oil and Gas, 10+ years.Desired Qualifications:A master's degree in machine learning, neural networks, deep learning, or related fields.Experience writing Terraform and YAML Pipelines.Experience with Agile methodology.Relocation will not be provided.Occidental does not offer sponsorship of employment-based nonimmigrant visa petitions for this role.Occidental is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
