Qualified candidates, please attach resume when applying.Large global alternative asset manager seeks a Data Analyst within its Data Strategy Operations division. The candidate should have qualities to understand the operations groups' internal applications (Security Master, Front End Platform, Accounting System, and Reporting Tool). A good understanding of the synchronization and workflow of the different applications used within the operations group day to day is a must. Due to the volatile nature of this business and rapid technological improvements, the candidate would also be required to participate in testing phases during implementations and integrations of their internal applications and processes. While the major role of this candidate would be Security Master and Reference data management, a good understanding of the entire operational workflow process is recommended.Responsibilities:
Assist with Reference Data Creation and ManagementPrice securities using vendor pricing module and ensure PnL is correctMonitor PnL Issues between systems and investigate issues on a real-time basisConduct detailed analysis on data discrepancies between various systems to identify root cause of data issuesInteract with Technology teams to test and implement new processesAssist in the execution of Data Governance projectsCreate and monitor exception reportingWork with data owners to resolve issuesQualifications & Experience:
1-3 years of experience working with securities related data in order for them to be priced and reconciled correctlyKnowledge of Security Master and Reference dataProject management experience is a plusSome experience with Equities and fixed income securities such as Loans (Term, Revolving, Delayed Draw, Bridge, Private/Credit Agreements); Bonds (Corp, Gov't, CVB, Forwards); Credit Default Swaps (Index, Tranche, Single Name); Equities (Stock, Depository Receipts, ETF's); Forward Currency Contract; Options (FX, Index, Equity, IRS/CDX, OTC); Interest Rate Swap; Spread Locks; Total Return/Equity Swaps; Mortgage Backed SecuritiesAppreciation of data quality, completeness, and controlsDemonstrated experience in process improvementsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills requiredSalary: $80,000 - $100,000 base; depending on experience
