Position Summary & ObjectiveAs a Project Engineer for Enprotech, you will work on an array of jobs from Conception to Completion; performing Project Review, Structuring of Components, and Creation of Shop Routers. New Parts/Equipment may have an element of design where we utilize Solidworks to model and create drawings. Repair/Rebuild jobs will utilize Engineering Principles for review of worn and damaged parts to create a plan to refurbish back to print and acceptable tolerances.Essential Functions Performed by the PositionSchedule, plan, resource, and manage all technical activities aimed at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.Generate engineered work scope and labor/material estimates through coordination with the sales department and customer interaction.Generate repair solutions, value-added improvements, and new design concepts on existing heavy manufacturing equipment.Generate repair/new component prints, workflow documents, and assembly prints as required for assigned projects.Generate and maintain project schedules and coordinate resources accordingly.Interact daily with purchasing, sales, and production teams.Report regularly on project status.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExperience with AutoCAD and/or Solidworks software.Ability to generate new and markup/modify existing prints to coincide with the routing of parts through the manufacturing facility.Apply knowledge of engineering principles to mechanical systems.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills required.Ability to develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing/repair methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.Ability to estimate costs and submit bids for engineering solutions.Ability to oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.Ability to recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.Ability to analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.Qualifications

Required Education and ExperienceAssociate or bachelor’s degree in engineering field, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.Experience in the steel, rebuilding or machine shops a plus.Additional Information
