As a Software Development Engineer - Connectivity, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to innovate and deliver a high-performance, low-power, stable connectivity platform for world-class consumer products. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment. In this role, you will:Design, develop and enhance Wi-Fi software for Amazon's consumer products;Optimize Wi-Fi performance and power consumption for connectivity platforms;Engage with vendors to integrate Wi-Fi chipset solutions;Collaborate with other software teams to design and deliver unique customer features on top of Wi-Fi for next-gen Amazon products;Provide Amazon Customer Support technical assistance to troubleshoot customer issues;About the team

2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience2+ years of non-internship professional software development experienceExperience programming with at least one software programming languageBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentExperience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented designKnowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellenceHands-on experience in IEEE802.11/Wi-Fi protocols and extensionsExperience with Wi-Fi development and debugging tools such as wireless sniffers and protocol analyzersExperience with Android and Linux development on kernel, device drivers, and frameworksPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
