Software Engineer – Continuous Delivery Platform

GEICO is seeking a

junior Software Engineer

to join our Continuous Delivery team. The ideal candidate will have exposure to Kubernetes, Linux, Flux, GitOps, and GitHub, with a passion for building robust, scalable platforms as a service. This role will play a crucial part in driving our continuous delivery initiatives, ensuring our software delivery pipelines are efficient, secure, and reliable.Position ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain a continuous delivery platform to enable fast, secure and reliable software releases.Implement and manage Kubernetes-based deployment strategies using GitOps methodologies.Leverage ArgoCD or Flux to automate application deployment and lifecycle management in Kubernetes clusters.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new applications and services into the continuous delivery pipeline.Optimize and automate CI/CD processes to improve deployment frequency, reduce lead time for changes, and increase reliability.QualificationsStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Extensive experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.Experience with networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.Strong proficiency in Linux system administration and shell scripting.Hands-on experience with Flux, ArgoCD and GitOps practices.Proficient with GitHub and managing Git-based workflows.Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Github Actions, CircleCI, ArgoCD).(highly desirable) Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.(highly desirable) Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).EducationBachelor's degree or master's degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent experience.Annual Salary$75,000.00 - $215,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
