Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, information systems or related field.
Experience with systems deployment and configuration, preferably ILS platforms.
Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects at a given time.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Demonstrated ability to articulate technical concepts and requirements to diverse and non-technical audiences.
Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of programming, scripting, and markup languages such as Java, C++, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, PHP, Perl, SQL, xslt, HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS, .NET development.
Knowledge of Drupal Content Management System (CMS).
Knowledge of library systems, which will include, but not be limited to, FOLIO, EZproxy, DSpace, and Illiad.
Job DescriptionResponsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting applications software.
Job Duties
Develop and implement FOLIO system and enhancements as well as design, code, test, implement, maintain, and support applications software for the University Library.
Work with vendors, librarians, and staff at the University Libraries to implement and support the new library systems platform.
Serve as backup database administrator for library applications on university MSSQL cluster.
Perform technical work involving general programming support for library web applications, with primary support being for FOLIO.
Other duties as assigned.
