We are looking to add a Project Engineer to Xylem to work a flexible hybrid work schedule at one of our locations in the United States. This person will be technically responsible for executing large capital projects throughout North America.Core Responsibilities and Tasks
Develop P&IDs for the project.Layout the site based on the site plan and processes. This includes system equipment, unit processes, and piping.Size pipelines, pumps, blowers, other equipment, etc., based on site hydraulics.Create equipment, instrumentation, and valve lists to be purchased.Assist in development of a 3D model of the facility with our CAD team.Conduct in-person shop or jobsite reviews throughout the project.Support the construction/project manager with the technical oversight of contractors.Configure solutions based on customer specifications and requirements.Commit to deliverables with customers and/or management.Drive value creation in the business.Position Requirements
FORMAL EDUCATIONBS/BA degree in Engineering.3-15 yrs. of experience.Strong knowledge of operational processes as defined in work area.Strong understanding of business acumen.Experience in the following would be considered an asset:Field execution of large, industrial capital projects.Hydraulic Analysis using modeling software (PipeFlo or equivalent).Chemical Addition Systems.Sludge Handling and Disposal.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 20%
