The team’s scope includes algorithm and architecture design for video analytics, computer vision and machine learning with power and performance optimization.The selected candidate, along with his/her colleagues and other team members, will have responsibilities in one or more of the following areas:Research and develop a broad range of computer vision algorithms including object detection, motion analysis, depth estimation, 3D reconstruction etc. with performance and power efficiencyDefine systems architecture for computer vision solutions including data flow, task partition, user interface and systems interoperationDesign and implement simulator for computer vision functions to be used for algorithm evaluation, hardware verification, and customer trainingWork on DSP or NSP optimization of computer vision algorithmsDefine methodology for performance and power analysis and develop innovative technologies to reduce memory bandwidth, processing latency, power consumptionCollaborate with other teams to commercialize the technologies and provide strong customer support to enable the best visual analytics experiencesQualifications - SkillsExperience with computer vision and machine learningExperience with OpenCV libraryProficiency in C/C++Strong analytical and mathematical skills to develop new computer vision algorithmsStrong communication skillsWork experience in feature detector and descriptors, motion analysis, depth estimation is a plusDSP/Neon/GPU optimization and multi-thread programming is a plusMinimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.ORMaster's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.ORPhD in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.Pay range:
$139,000.00 - $208,000.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
