to join our Market & Operations Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting systematic evaluation of MISO markets and operations performance and outcomes across multiple time horizons. Transform data, identify patterns and trends, derive, and communicate holistic market and operations performance insights through innovative business intelligence, data analytics, visualization, and reporting. Provide development, implementation, and support on data mining, data visualization, data migration, data analytics, and process documentation.As our
Power System Data Analyst , you will:Examine data from multiple sources and apply analytical and business intelligence methodologies to proactively assess and evaluate market and operations performance and outcomes to enable data-driven decisions.Develop SQL queries, Python scripts, and business intelligence solutions to extract, manipulate, and transform complex datasets that cross departmental boundaries into useful trends and insights.Develop data visualization dashboards and reports to communicate market and operations performance and outcomes.Conduct/support advanced data analytics to predict future trends on market and operations performance and outcomes.Create algorithms and develop structured data models that support cross-functional data-driven decision-making and problem-solving.Work collaboratively with various business areas to identify outliers and trends, investigate anomalies, discover enhancement opportunities across market and operations.Complete all other duties as assigned.To be successful as our
Power System Data Analyst , we’re looking for the following skills:Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (e.g., Economics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field or relevant work experience equivalency).At least 2 years of working experience.Ability to communicate and connect with different teams that have varying and unique technical capabilities.General knowledge and understanding of power system market and operations preferred.Python coding experience required; Python-based visualization tools is a plus.Proficiency with SQL and ability to write complex queries for data manipulation and analysis.Familiarity with Tableau/Power BI required; visual storytelling capability is a plus.Familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence models and tools.
