DescriptionThe qualified candidate will have a strong background in managing a small team, administering an enterprise infrastructure running various line-of-business applications. This role will include a variety of hands-on work, along with delegating and monitoring of tasks assigned to others. Problem solving and troubleshooting skills are a must. Qualified candidates should reside in proximity to Shelton, CT.
RequirementsResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Ability to understand business problems and formulate solutions and project plansManaging information flows and capturing collective knowledge to share throughout the organizationResponsibility for maintaining hybrid network infrastructureResponsibility for maintaining both physical and virtual infrastructureManaging and administering Microsoft Azure environmentDelegating tasks and assisting team members with their assignmentsMaintaining company compliance with security policies and preparing security auditsEnsuring network resources are in accordance with security practicesManaging IT budget; purchasing hardware and softwareMaintaining vendor relationshipsAutomating IT tasks through PowerShell and other toolsThe following qualifications are desired:Microsoft certification, preferably related to Windows Server administration or Microsoft AzureFirst-hand knowledge of Windows Server, O365, Active Directory, Switches, Routers, firewalls, VPN, Remote Desktop, Hyper-V, and Microsoft Azure.Knowledge of Desktop and Server HardwareMicrosoft SQL Server and/or Oracle experience a plusStrong organizational skillsThe successful candidate will have a certification in computer sciences or IT-related studies plus 3-4 years of directly related experience.
