JOB SUMMARY***CANDIDATE MUST BE A US Citizen (due to contractual/access requirements)***This job takes a lead role in defining and promoting architecture direction and governance for Highmark’s multi-cloud strategy and initiatives. Implements enterprise cloud architecture strategy and drives the adoption of cloud services. Responsible for the execution and refinement of the cloud platform strategy. Formulates architecture, establishes governance, manages cloud providers, facilitates adoption, and participates in the cloud Center of Enablement (CCOE). Act as a liaison and consultant to various technology organizations on best practices, principles, and processes required to leverage best-in-class cloud capabilities and technologies.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, build, facilitate and support cloud initiatives on multiple fronts, including leading the CCOE.Propel the executive vision and make it a reality while overseeing the cloud adoption and governance process. Communicate and collaborate to promote strong partnerships between the architects, engineers, developers, and business stakeholders.Demonstrate knowledge of cloud-specific technical aspects in multiple areas of expertise and provide recommendations for solutions and designs.Support appropriate design standards, methods, and tools and ensure that they are applied effectively.Facilitate development of cloud-enabled enterprise business solutions that combine knowledge of business strategies, processes and gaps, technological options, and process facilitation techniques.Provide leadership and mentoring in their areas of expertise and architecture to peers, developers, and management and business users including technical expertise, coaching, and ad-hoc training.Develop and coordinate Cloud Architecture inter-dependency between the Cloud Architecture and Enterprise Architecture strategies.Other duties as assigned or requested.EDUCATIONRequiredBachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fieldSubstitutions6 years of related and progressive experience in lieu of Bachelor's degreePREFERREDNoneEXPERIENCERequired5 years of technical expertise in supporting IT core technologies (Database, Data Networking, Linux, Windows or similar)To Include:2 years as a technology lead with technical decision-making responsibilities in an enterprise environment
