You will be responsible for supporting existing highly available infrastructure in a cloud-centric environment while recommending & implementing strategic initiatives and learning new technologies. In this position, you will work hand in hand with various teams across the Technology department including Development, Systems Engineering, and Cybersecurity. We are looking for candidates who can exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues and work under minimal supervision to determine the best course of action. Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we'd love to hear from you!What You’ll Do:Design, deploy, and support network infrastructures across our offices and AWS environments, including routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud networking components.Develop long-term network strategies that align with organizational goals and emerging technologies.Lead and oversee a small team of network engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management.Collaborate with our managed service provider in Europe to coordinate network projects, share best practices, and provide suggestions for network improvements.Optimize and maintain our Cloudflare CDN services including WAF and Zero Trust Network Access to improve application performance and security.Participate in security and compliance audits of network infrastructure.Engage in the diagnosis and resolution of escalated critical incidents.Participate in an on-call schedule and be available while on-call to diagnose and resolve incidents.What You’ll Need:5+ years of experience in a senior-level Network Engineer role or equivalent.In-depth understanding of the TCP/IP stack, including advanced routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc.).Proven experience designing and implementing complex network architectures in enterprise environments.Experience with the installation, configuration, and management of routers, switches, load balancers, proxies, etc.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and robust problem-solving skills.Knowledge of Fortinet and/or Cisco routers & switches.Experience with cloud networking solutions, particularly AWS.Nice to Have:Possession of a network certification (CCNP, AWS Advanced Networking, etc.).Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing Zero Trust Network Access solutions to enhance security and enforce strict access controls.Hands-on experience with Kubernetes networking concepts, including services, ingress controllers, and network policies.Proficiency with network automation tools and scripting languages such as Ansible, Python, or Terraform.We are driven by our values.
