$87,000.00 plus benefitsOverview:The CDC Foundation is seeking a COVID-19 Vaccine Unit Manager who will oversee the COVID-19 vaccine unit. The COVID-19 Vaccine Unit Manager will oversee multiple professional-level positions and associated staff. The COVID-19 Vaccine Unit Manager will provide general direction and day-to-day decision-making for the COVID-19 vaccine response in the State of Nevada. The COVID-19 Vaccine Unit Manager will work closely with the Immunization Program Manager and Bureau leadership to ensure a proper COVID-19 vaccine response in the State of Nevada.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public health, human services, social science, behavioral science or a related field.Three years of health-related professional experience, one year of which was supervisory and included one or more of the following:Providing or coordinating the delivery of health care servicesBudget monitoringInterpretation of regulations, policies and directives related to health care delivery systems• OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.Responsibilities:Provide general programmatic oversight to State Immunization Program.Provide day-to-day operational oversight of the COVID-19 vaccine response in Nevada.Oversee the execution of multiple subgrants and subgrantees.Assist in the management of a large budget.Special Notes:This role is involved in a dynamic public health program. As such, roles and responsibilities are subject to change as situations evolve. Roles and responsibilities listed above may be expanded upon or updated to match priorities and needs, once written approval is received by both the CDC Foundation and Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, in order to best support the State of Nevada in their public health programming.The CDC Foundation requires all employees to be fully vaccinated* for COVID-19 as a condition of employment effective November 22, 2021. All offers of employment after that date are contingent upon proof of full-vaccination status as a part of the pre-employment process.*Fully vaccinated is defined as follows: At least two weeks have passed since receipt of the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine, or the second dose of either the Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech two-dose vaccines.This position is located in Reno, Carson City or Las Vegas and will be working part-time in the office part-time telecommuting for the foreseeable future. CDC Foundation retains the right to make adjustments to this as required.This position requires the operation of a motor vehicle as a component of the job responsibilities and duties. In adherence with CDC Foundation’s Driver Safety Motor Vehicle Policy (“Policy”), offers for employment for this position require the Applicant to provide authorization to the CDC Foundation to conduct a Motor Vehicle Record (“MVR”) review both pre-employment and also annually post-employment while in this position. Additionally, if an offer of employment is accepted, employees in these positions must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in their state of residence, self-report motor vehicle violations/convictions, and provide proof of acceptable insurance coverage with mandatory minimum coverages as set forth within the Driver Safety Motor Vehicle policy.
