Senior Network Engineer
will support the Department of Management (DOM) and Division of Information Technology (DOIT) by managing and optimizing the enterprise networking environment. This senior-level role is crucial for maintaining secure communications, network monitoring, and providing consulting and architecture services. Responsibilities include operational support for routers, switches, and firewalls, and assessing and improving network infrastructure.Key Responsibilities :Manage and secure routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure optimal performance and availability.Configure and maintain network infrastructure according to security standards.Provide network architecture support and perform infrastructure assessments.Manage network security and log monitoring.Plan and implement firewall access changes.Adhere to incident and change management processes.Collaborate with technical teams and business owners.Support customers in testing and implementation.Maintain and update technical documentation.Required Skills and Experience :10+ years of experience in network fundamentals, technical support, IP networking, and security/firewall administration.7+ years of advanced diagnostics and network management tool experience.2+ years with F5 and Visio.1+ years in cloud networking (AWS/Azure).Highly Desired Skills :Unix scripting languages (Perl, Bash, TCL, cURL).VMware implementation and administration.Work Details :Onsite work as needed.Standard hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with potential after-hours work.Benefits :401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule :8 hour shiftWork Location : In person
