Project Manager, Applied Analytics & Emerging Technology Lab (Limited Term) .

As a member of the Applied Analytics & Emerging Technology Lab (AETL) within the Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society, the Project Manager will be actively engaged with campus and industry partners through the LIFT Network for collaborative solutions to drive regional industry advancement within Information Technology, data analytics, and emerging technology fields. The Project Manager will manage several of the current and emerging projects, including software development, technology infrastructure, university research, and other data related projects.

Responsibilities:Lead project planning, implementation, assessment, and improvement.Collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, technical leads, and industry partners to develop project requirements and user stories.Deconstruct and communicate the vision to a larger stakeholder group.Guide the execution of projects from start to finish.

Minimum Qualifications:2-3 years total project management experience;Previous experience creating functional specification and detailed design documents;Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written and oral communication skills;Detail-oriented and highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;Able to handle ambiguity in projects while achieving project goals;Able to work with and optimize fluid and changing project management processes;Ability to understand stakeholders needs, motivations, and behaviors and translate them into actionable deliverables;Comfortable challenging ideas and working with disparate groups to build consensus and lead to desired outcomes;Strong time management skills;Strong self-management skills and able to perform with minimal direction.

Preferred Qualifications:Project Management specific degree with 1-2 year experience with agile project management processes;Previous liaison role between IT and business users to define and document requirements;PMP Certification;Experience with project management, design, and prototyping tools.
