ServiceNow Developer
to join our team based out of
Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain subject matter expertise (SME) of ServiceNow.
Lead, participate, and consult in ServiceNow design, development, and integration activities with Customers, vendors, and team members as the ServiceNow SME.
Read, analyze, and interpret business requirements, system documentation, and technical procedures.
Analyze data from different sources/applications and identify potential integration opportunities.
Implement web solutions using best practices.
Assist Project Teams with planning integrations, site redesigns and updates.
Maintain communication with Project Teams on scope of projects.
Mentor Programmers and Designers on back-end web functionality.
Maintain knowledge of web languages including APEX, JAVA, and Python.
Assist Project Managers in keeping development tasks on schedule and budget.
Perform VMWare system administration, installation and upgrades.
Occasional travel to customer sites to participate in meetings and perform deployment activities may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have at least a High School Diploma.
Must have at least 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
Must have at least 3 years of experience with ServiceNow.
Must have 1 or more ServiceNow certifications, such as ServiceNow Professional Application Developer, ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ServiceNow Practitioner Implementer.
Must have relevant experience with JavaScript, Linux, Oracle, Scripting, and database support.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have customer service experience.
Must be able to be on site at least 50% and/or as needed.
Must be able to travel occasionally (up to 25%).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology strongly preferred.
Prior experience supporting application development and integration in a Federal government enterprise environment.
Experience contributing as part of an Agile team.
Experience with MS Power Automate, MS Dynamics, MS Power BI, MS SQL Server, Oracle, ServiceNow, VMWare.
SAFe certification(s) preferred.
Security Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.
A current and active Secret clearance is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership as well as customer.
Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customer.
Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, etc.
Must be able to deliver presentations as needed.
Must be able to review; decipher and understand program manuals; software/hardware manuals; training manuals; etc.
