Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled
Lead Architecture Engineer
with 5-7 years of experience in leading solution architecture strategy and design for large-scale programs, preferably within the federal sector. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in program and project integration, supporting various activities with technical analyses and reviews, ensuring process improvement and adherence, and understanding the impacts of the integrated IMF Modernization system and its components. The candidate will be responsible for data gathering, compiling data into presentations or artifacts, interfacing with Delivery Partners, and coordinating the deployment of newly developed capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead solution architecture strategy and design for large-scale federal programs, leveraging The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) principles.
Support legacy system modernization initiatives in the public sector.
Utilize tools such as IBM Rational System Architect, Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM), Rational Team Concert (RTC), Business Processing Modeling Notation (BPMN), Decision Modeling Notation (DMN), and Unified Modeling Language (UML).
Contribute to the IMF Mod Solution Architecture, Vision Solution and Architecture (VSA), and Program Roadmap.
Architect Cloud-Based Systems using services such as Amazon AWS, with a focus on high throughput systems and massive parallel processing.
Lead solution engineering strategy and design, ensuring compliance with IRS design methods and tools.
Create and update IMF Mod Design Specification Reports (DSRs) for each project.
Conduct Performance Engineering Modeling and Testing.
Perform Performance Tuning and Testing/Analysis for IBM z/OS environments and Eligibility Engine Java applications.
Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
5-7 years of experience in solution architecture and engineering for large-scale federal programs.
Strong understanding of legacy system modernization in the public sector.
Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases.
Experience in architecting high throughput systems and massive parallel processing.
Demonstrated experience in performance tuning and testing for complex systems.
Physical and Mental Qualifications:
Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours.
Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard).
Able to lift up to 15 pounds.
Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language.
Execute tasks independently and work as a team.
Learns and remembers routine tasks.
Strong organizational, grammar, business correspondence, and self-management skills.
