JOB DESCRIPTION
Title:
System Administrator
KBR is seeking a highly qualified Systems Administrator to provide support for the NRO Mission Operations Directorate (MOD). MOD operates, maintains, and reports the status of intelligence satellites and their associated ground systems, provides defensive space control and space protection, monitors satellite flight safety, and provides space situational awareness. This effort includes support to innovation labs developing new tools, models, and algorithms to operate and exploit satellite space and ground systems.
Responsibilities:
Expertise and experience with acquiring, configuring, and maintaining computer servers, operating systems, networks and network file systems.
Skills include knowledge of coding, networking, problem-solving, and cloud computing.
Tasks may include upgrading, installing and configuring application software and computer hardware.
Troubleshooting and providing technical support to users; creating and managing system permissions and user accounts.
Performing regular security tests and security monitoring.
Maintaining networks and network file systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
3-5 years of expertise and experience with acquiring, configuring, and maintaining computer servers, operating systems, networks and network file systems.
Ability to review and determine coding, networking, problem-solving, and cloud computing approaches.
Ability to upgrade, install and configure application software and computer hardware.
Ability to perform troubleshooting and provide technical support to users.
Ability to create and manage system permissions and user accounts; perform regular security tests and security monitoring; and maintain networks and network file systems.
Ability to deliver MOD lab innovations and mission operations advanced support.
Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph
Desired Qualifications:
5-10 years’ experience in Systems Administration services.
Experience with cloud development processes.
Strong interpersonal skills in order to influence, collaborate and work effectively with all levels of internal and external leadership.
Knowledge of NRO Mission Operations Directorate.
Basic Compensation:
$95,480.00 - $143,220.00
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
