Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Android Developer in Coral Springs, FL. In this role, you will work on a variety of projects as assigned by various project leads. Responsibilities:Android Developer will design and build advanced applications for the Android platform, ensuring robust, responsive, and user-friendly designs.Maintains and modifies existing applications on their own as well as under direction from senior staff members.Performs maintenance programming for existing codebase.As an Android Developer, you will perform custom programming as directed.Assumes responsibility for ongoing development of assigned tasks.Work closely with project teams, designers, and other developers to define, design, and deploy new features and functionality.Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.5+ years of experience creating high-quality, user-centric Android applications.Proven experience as an Android developer with a portfolio of released applications in Google Play Store.Strong background in Java/Android application development along with strong knowledge of UI/UX design.Excellent technical knowledge of Java for Android, Android SDK, and Android Studio.Good knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.Good understanding of RESTful APIs and how to connect Android applications to back-end services.Understanding of code versioning using Git.Understanding of Firebase, notifications, and related services.Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) and its use in testing, building, and deploying Android applications.Familiarity working within Model/View/Controller software architecture.Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and debugging skills.Attention to detail and thoroughness are an absolute must.Deadline and detail-oriented.Ability to tackle complex technical challenges and provide efficient solutions.Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical staff members.Ability to interface well with professional service staff and other non-technical members of the organization.Knowledge of Jira is a plus.The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested, and determinable.
