Team Description

Team Andromeda is one of two teams dedicated to Pendo’s Session Replay product, which enables customers to visualize real user sessions and gain critical insights into how users interact with their digital platforms. By transforming raw session data into actionable insights, Session Replay empowers businesses to understand user behavior, troubleshoot issues, and improve overall user experience. Our mission is to create meaningful user journeys that deliver a holistic view of the user experience. Through our work, we play a pivotal role in helping businesses make informed, data-driven decisions to optimize their digital environments for both performance and engagement.

As a Back End Engineer, you will be architecting large-scale projects that excel in performance, scalability, and maintainability while following the latest industry best practices in modern development. Deliverables/Responsibilities

Write maintainable, high-quality code that solves customer pain points

Build an understanding of the technology and code within the team's domain in order to design solutions to large, complex, and/or ambiguous problems

Learn Pendo’s coding standards and practices through code reviews

Add input on code reviews, designs, and technical questions from within the team and the organization

Implement unit & automated testing to accompany code changes

Quickly troubleshoot customer issues & implement solutions to address them

Foster positive team discussions and decisions in epic and story refinements

Balance competing priorities effectively

Qualifications (what you have):

3+ years experience working in a compiled programming language such as GO, etc.

Knowledge of REST APIs

Critical Thinking & Problem Solving

Experience working on a highly collaborative team (code reviews, mentoring, brainstorming, giving/receiving technical feedback)

Experience writing testable code

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Experience optimizing for rapid iterations driven by the experiment, build, iterate mentality

Experience collaborating with Product, Marketing, and other Engineering teams
