As part of the E-Space AIT team, you will have the opportunity to test thousands of flight hardware units and directly contribute to the success of an innovative satellite architecture on-orbit.This position is based in Saratoga, CA.What you will be doing:
Spacecraft sub-system acceptance:• Organize the acceptance of the spacecraft sub-systems before integration to the flatsat (EM), or to the satellite structure (FM)EM flatsat activities:• Define the Verification and Validation (V&V) requirements for the activity• GSE definition and procurement• Satellite procedure creation and execution on the flatsat• Result collection• V&V requirement Statement of Compliance• Participate in the spacecraft unit qualification test campaignsFM AIT activities:• GSE definition and procurement• Satellite procedure creation and execution on the FM Spacecraft• Result collection• V&V requirement Statement of Compliance• Participate in the FM Satellite environmental test campaignsWhat you bring to this role:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering7+ years of experience in spacecraft engineeringExperience with a satellite AIT campaignGood understanding of spacecraft subsystem development, having been involved in the development of at least oneUnderstanding of electrical test equipment, test procedures, data acquisition systems, and instrumentationExperience in environmental testing such as vibration, shock, thermal, and TVACProgramming experience in Python, MATLAB/SimulinkDemonstrated success working in a dynamic environmentBonus points for the following:
Experience with radiation effects testingProject/program management skillsThis is a full time, exempt position, based out of our Saratoga office. The target base pay for this position is $130,000 - $170,000 annually. The total compensation packaged will be determined by various factors such as your relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used—so we’re looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit activities.
