Sam is best known for making chips in his garage, and Jim has been a leader in the semiconductor industry for the past 40 years.About the roleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Robotics Engineer with a specialization in automation, design, and controls to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the technical expertise and ability to independently manage projects from concept to completion, maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role emphasizes rapid iteration of equipment and machine-to-machine, rather than large-scale industrial manufacturing lines.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop end-to-end automation solutions for processes.

Create thorough documentation (CAD, drawings, design rationale, etc.)

Perform system integration across electromechanical systems and troubleshoot

Fabricate and assemble mechanical components and automation systems

Develop and implement testing protocols to validate system performance and reliability

Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement them

Required ExperienceBachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent experience

Industry experience in mechanical engineering

Mechanical component design

Rapid prototyping

System Integration

Motion controls

Python scripting

Nice-to-haveExperienced in vendor management and sourcing quality materials

Basic ML/computer vision software skills

Has built machines on a rapid iterations process

Cleanroom equipment experience and/or protocols

Vibration experience

Atomic Semi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual salary range for this role is $140,000 – $180,000 Compensation is determined within the range based on your qualifications and experience. Our total compensation package also includes generous equity in Atomic Semi.Benefits:
