The selected candidate will work as an Event Planning Specialist. The position requires in-person attendance for meetings and events in addition to remote work on a flexible schedule for a total of 10 hours/week at a starting rate of $13/hour.This opening provides exposure to a broadly defined understanding of sustainability in business, including concepts as they relate to health, social equity, conservation, marketing and behavior, supply chain, and financial and social impact. This is an opportunity to work in a highly collaborative team of interns, faculty, and staff.
This position will be supporting the Smeal Undergraduate Impact Case Competition.A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:A strong sense of commitment to the Center’s
mission and vision , including dedication to equity inclusivity, and initiative in a collaborative environmentStrong communication and organization skillsStrong written communication skillsTeam playerProficiency in ExcelPrevious case competition participation is a plusAbility to meet tight deadlinesResponsibilities:Assisting with the creation and organization of the event scheduleCoordinating vendors and logisticsOrganize spreadsheets of participants and submissionsAssisting with registration and check-in during the eventWeekly meetings with supervisorBiweekly meetings with the intern cohort for professional development topics and discussions of progressApplicants should submit a resume and cover letter.
