This is a remote position (see on-site requirements below).On-Site Requirements:
On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Lexington Park, MD for candidates that are local to the area. Candidates out of state will be onboarded virtually. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible; however, for local candidates, training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.Essential Functions:Lead, manage, and provide technical guidance to an application development team through an application modernization in AWS.Develop and maintain project plans/schedules in GitLab.Identify, track, mitigate, and resolve schedule and performance risks.Regularly report project progress and risks to leadership.Work closely with technical teams and subject matter experts, acting as liaison with the customer.Coordinate and participate in meetings with stakeholders and the technical team to gather, analyze, breakdown, and document requirements.Facilitate meetings across technical teams and with customers to track progress and overcome blockers.Participate and assist in planning meetings, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.Other duties as assigned or required.Qualifications and Experience:Required:Experience as an IT project manager required.Experience creating, coordinating, and tracking project schedules and tasking required.Experience working in a DOD software development/IT environment required.Experience working with a development team modernizing a legacy app and/or deploying to AWS required.Desired:Experience working with a PM/CM tool like GitLab (preferred) or TFS desired.AWS and PMP or Scrum Master certifications highly desired.Security Clearance:Must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance; active or interim secret is preferred.
