IT Desktop Support Intern

based in
Assumption, IL . This is a paid, full-time internship during the summer of 2025 at our Grain & Protein headquarters in Assumption, IL. Housing is provided for students who reside more than fifty miles from Assumption, IL. Students are required to work forty hours per week on-site at our Assumption office from May through August 2025.The IT Desktop Support Intern is responsible for working in the Desktop Team to provide effective second line IT Support for IT-related Incidents and Catalog Requests. This role provides support for all users of IT Computer Systems. The intern is responsible for supporting all IT problems and Catalog requests through to a timely and satisfactory resolution in the Service Now System. It involves handling hardware, computer and mobile devices, for new joiners and leavers and installing software. We are looking for someone who wants to learn the basics in IT Desktop Support.Your ImpactSupporting Incident and Request tickets assigned to the Desktop Team in ServiceNow toolMaking sure all authorizations and approvals are in place before completing RequestsAssisting local Desktop team with handling hardware related requests including setup of new PCs/laptops/monitors/etc., and handing over equipment of leaversWiping the software from out of warranty PCs and preparing them for collection by Third Party CompanyInstallation of End Point Security softwareAssist in handling basic IT-related issues like anti-virus software installation, local admin rights, problems with Windows operating system, Microsoft products, standard IT hardwareYour Experience and QualificationsSome knowledge of PC skills including Windows and Microsoft Office productsGood communication and Customer Service skillsSome experience with connecting PCs/laptops/monitors/keyboards, etc.Some experience with installation of IT softwareYour WorkplaceYou will be working an onsite role based in Assumption, IL.We value inclusion and recognize the innovation a diverse workforce delivers to our farmers.
