The SQL Data Developer is responsible for extracting, cleaning, and maintaining data from Microsoft SQL relational databases to meet the needs of internal and external audiences. The SQL Data Developer works with multiple Choices team members to understand their data and information needs and generate appropriate Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and Microsoft Reporting Studio tools and reports. The incumbent must be able to collaborate with organizational partners such as ARE to complete tasks. The incumbent will support and uphold a commitment to racial and ethnic equity and antiracism.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develops advanced queries using SQL, and/or other appropriate tools to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases, provides troubleshooting support, and improves query quality/accuracy.Develops proficiency in SmartCare Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) system or other database software used by the organization, including an advanced understanding of how users interface with SmartCare and SmartCare’s underlying table structure.Updates, maintains, and troubleshoots Power BI dashboards and reports to enhance reporting capabilities and to support clinical programs and Choices’ day to day operations.Designs, develops, and tests reports and forms in SmartCare EHR to support all Choices’ programs and day to day operations.Collaborates and supports Information Services and Applied Research and Evaluation staff in all data and reporting needs.Willingly completes other duties as assigned.Qualifications

5+ years of experience using relational databases and SQL query tools to retrieve data for analysis. SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) experience required.Experience with Microsoft Reporting Technology and source control management, preferably in Visual Studio.Expertise in developing business intelligence visualizations, preferably in Power BI.Experience and willingness to become a subject matter expert utilizing an Electronic Health Records system.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.Ability to demonstrate initiative, innovation, and leadership in advancing the use of data to effectively drive decisions.Highly organized.Demonstrated ability to:

Work effectively with internal and external individuals, including other professionals in the community.Work effectively as a member of a team.Effectively communicate to various internal and external audiences in both person and through various electronic media.Manage time and work effectively with minimal supervision.Effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
