What You'll Do
Epic Games Unreal Engine Networking Team is looking for a smart, creative Network Programmer Intern. Our Interns are given challenging projects over the work term, and are provided with a meaningful experience with high expectations for performance. If you want to build something Epic, this is the opportunity for you!In this role, you will
Work closely with the Unreal Engine team on improving the UE network protocol, the UE replay system, and investigating and fixing networking and replication bugs.Develop solutions to various technical challenges under deadlinesImplement functional test casesWhat we're looking for
Suggested degree work in CS or equivalent experienceStrong C++ knowledgeDemonstrated interest in game developmentDemonstrated interest in computer networking, knowledge of protocols such as TCP and UDP a plusExperience working with optimization and multithreaded systems a plusFamiliarity with Unreal Engine 5 preferredThis internship has a flexible start date in 2025. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the posting location for the duration of the internship.
