Your Impact:
We are looking for an organized Principal Network Engineer to join our Lonewolf team, which operates and maintains the Distributed Continuity Integrated Network for our government customer. The DCIN-TS ES is a DoD provided, TS/SCI, integrated voice, video, and data, global communications network that facilitates collaboration among senior leaders and key staff.
Successful candidate will perform as a senior-level contributor with knowledge and experience in local and wide area networking, communications, and related software/hardware within a multi-platform operating environment.
This role is on site at our cleared facility in San Antonio, TX.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and develop new hardware requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions
Provide recommendations and conduct research for new technologies, future concepts, and analysis for implementation
Deployable Solutions (Mobile & Transportable) design integration
Interoperability of systems and services with mission partners
Virtualization, Software Defined Networking (SDN) design integration
Review site design packages from the Site Design team for technical accuracy
Research and recommend to the Configuration Management (CM) Boards new or replacement models of hardware or software to support the engineering roadmap
Provide information to the Life Cycle team for hardware that is reaching end of sale or support
Coordinate with the information assurance security engineers, validate all designs against required security controls to maintain the Authority to Operate of each enclave
Create, review, and update technical documentation in support of Integration projects
Provide full implementation documentation and templates for all phases of deployment and sustainment of network equipment and services
Provide engineering support to a network operations center and implementation and sustainment teams as needed
Identify and diagnose complex performance, security, and technical issues
Develop and implement solutions across a wide range of technologies
Implement and maintain DISA STIG requirements
Provide support to a wide array of customers as part of a complex team of multiple contractors and government personnel
Here’s what you’ll need:
Active Top-Secret SCI Clearance
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (computer science or a related field)
7-9 years of relevant experience
IAT II: Security+ certification or equivalent
CCNA Routing & Switching certification
Must be willing to travel as needed
Desired:
Experience installing and administering network and systems equipment.
Experience developing IT checklists, SOPs, guides, etc.
