Software Engineer with a specialization in High Performance Networking
for the development of a real-time simulation application for our Aerospace Defense & Government Solutions group. This will require the use of modern SW development platforms and technologies (100GbE+ networking, RDMA, gRPC, etc) to meet the demanding performance requirements. As an experienced engineer on a growing team, there will be many opportunities for career development, as well as to help mentor and train junior level engineers.Core ResponsibilitiesSoftware development in C# with emphasis on data structures/algorithmsTest, maintain, and launch software productsDesign software and network architecturesWork on large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networking, with compute technologies or hardware architecture.Support planning, building, and maintaining computer networks and network infrastructure, while also monitoring network data and assessing and fixing day-to-day problems.Configure, implement, manage and maintain networking hardware/networking switch infrastructureManage RDMA to improve throughput and performance while lowering latencyDesign applications to remove bottlenecks in networking throughput and minimal latencyDefine and develop optimized network monitoring, automation systemsQualificationsBSEE/BSCS or BSCE or equivalent education, with emphasis in Software networkingMinimum 3-5+ years of Software development experience with C#, and data structures/algorithms.3+ years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software productsExperience with software design and architectureProven experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networking, or experience with compute technologies or hardware architecture.Understanding of networking protocols: IPV4, IPV6, TCP, UDP, Multicast, VLANS, DNS, DHCP, and others.Understanding of 100GbE & faster networking hardwareProven experience in RDMAAbility to configure networking switch infrastructureC/C++, Python, and/or MATLAB are helpful but not essentialThis position requires a U.S. person.
