As the world leader in secure connectivity solutions for embedded applications, we are driving innovation in the secure connected vehicle, end-to-end security & privacy and smart connected solutions markets.Your responsibilitiesDesign, develop, test and optimize AI/ML software for embedded NXP hardware.Investigate, prototype and enable latest innovations in AI/ML.Follow SW quality standards and best practices.Your teamAs a member of our team, you will extend your practical experience on neural network architectures, model inference, optimization and deployment on embedded systems. You will create, test and maintain code for deploying neural networks on NXP hardware like microcontrollers (MPU), general purpose microprocessors (MCU) or specialized neural processing unit (NPU) using open source or proprietary software inference frameworks.You will work with and learn from recognized AI/ML technical leaders and learn in depth about modern AI/ML algorithms such as Transformers and ChatGPT. You will contribute to the development of the software stack for the first NPU built inside NXP, called eIQ Neutron.The local MLTEC-RO team in Bucharest has 10 team members ranging from juniors and interns to senior developers. The team is passionate and young, with an average age of around 30 years. You will be part of a global MLTEC team distributed across multiple countries: US (Austin, Texas), Czech Republic (Brno), China (Beijing) with leadership in the US and cooperating with multiple international teams in France, Germany, and others.Your profileMust have skills:Basic C and C++ programming skills.Basic understanding of embedded systems.Basic Python skills.Basic knowledge of Machine Learning concepts (neural network, training, inference).Interested in and curious about embedded systems and ML/AI.Fluency in English written and spoken.The following are pluses:Knowledge of Linux development environment.Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras, Pytorch) and familiarity with state-of-the-art NN architectures (SSD, MobileNet, ResNet, Yolo).Good knowledge of Machine Learning concepts and operators: CNN, RNN, LSTM, Conv2D, MaxPool, AvgPool, Dense, non-linear activations, quantization.Familiar with ARM architectures (Cortex-M and Cortex-A).Experience with Agile methodology.What can you expectContract: 1 year contract, with the possibility of part time or full time working.Compensation: Besides a good salary, you will receive lunch vouchers and 25 vacation days.
