About the Role:

Mass Virtual is seeking a passionate UX/UI Designer to work on next-generation XR training solutions. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for clean, artful design and possess superior UI skills. You should be able to translate high-level requirements into effective interaction flows and artifacts, transforming them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.

What you’ll be doing:

Establish the look and feel for various interfaces, including web apps, mobile devices, XR apps, games and other interactive media

Design user-centered interaction models, wireframes and screen mockups

Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and user experience

Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to product development

Support multiple projects while effectively managing timelines and expectations

Identify and troubleshoot UX issues (e.g., responsiveness)

Stay up to date with design trends and best practices, and continuously seek opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in product design

What you need to succeed:

Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills, including user research, conceptualization, UI/UX design, and prototyping

Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or other relevant design software

Knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, ad visual hierarchy

Familiarity with user-centered design (UCD) methodologies and usability principles

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Attention to detail and a passion for creating user experiences

Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)

Great to have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field

Experience designing for Learning Applications or educational technology

Experience with transitions, animations, motion design, and dynamic interactions

Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

In-office 100% of the time

The person in this position must be able to stay stationary for long periods of time
